My New Fitbit!

So, I got a Fitbit Ultra last Friday and having been using it very faithfully ever since. I really like how easy it is to use and all of its little features. It has really been a motivator for me. I like watching the numbers climb on the pedometer portion and I really like when my calories are in the green zone!

Ok, that being said. I was really hoping that paying atention to what I ate and how I moved that much more than I already do would have made a difference on the scale! Nope. I was really really really hoping to be below 270 by now!!!! So very frustrating.

It doesn't happen as fast as we think it should but it does happen. I have had my fitbit for about 6 months now and it took me several months of really assessing my intake and output before I finally understood the delicate balance between eating and exercise. I wish it was as simply as eat less and exercise but our bodies love to through us curve balls. I finally started losing again after I one increased my protein and two added a protein drink snack midmorning and late afternoon. My nutrionist told me I was slowing down my metabalism the way I was eating. I do feel better now and have more energy. I do love my fitbit it keeps me motivated and helps me to set goals for my self. Good luck to you.

A fitbit is a little device that you clip on you. Usually on your pocket. It's like a pedometer but so much more. It tracks your steps, how many flights of stairs you've climbed, calories burned and a clock. It is very simple to use and connects easily to a computer. There is a website to go on and customize your settings, log food and track your progress. There is also Ann app for your phone. Very handy and easy to use tool.
