Im Starving!!!

So I had my surgery and was pretty confident that I was gonna do just fine, and then it happened, I got hungry, well, past hungry, I was STARVING! I am just short of being two weeks post op, but its driving me insane that I can eat whatever I want. I know I am supposed to be watching what I eat, supposedly still supposed to be on a liquid diet, but I just cant do it! I am looking really forward to my first fill because I am hoping that will help me, but for now, I am struggling. I went to get my check up yesterday, they are ordering me phentermine lollipops to hopefully help stop the hunger that I am facing.... I'm feeling super discouraged right now as I was thinking that I would be strong enough for this stage, but I am not. I have even gained 3 lbs back. Its depressing and I'm in tears often.... feeling some regret right about now =/

At two weeks post-op you really can't eat whatever you want. Your stomach is still healing and putting solid food in it right now....well, I'm about 13 days post-op and the thought of it sends panic through me. This is the "white-knuckle" phase where you have to work through it. Exercise. Read a book. Drink water. Find something to block those thoughts. Most people take multiple fills to feel restriction. At this stage it really is "mind over matter" and you are putting yourself at risk by eating whatever you want.

Sorry I don't have better advice for you :) Just tell yourself you ARE strong and you CAN do this. Keep your goal in mind....

I'm 7 days post op... still on liquid diet but i can have cream soups now... i started noticing that the broth from the soup wasn't doing me any justice... ten minutes afterwards, i was starving... yesterday i started eating cream soups that i diluted with chicken stock and water... had a baked potatoe soup thinned and strained... it seemed to have done the trick... been full all day... waiting to drink has also helped... hope things get better for you... hang in there!!
