Did you ask your Dr. about where he put the port? That sounds painfull. My nurse said that if I eat too much or don't chew my food enough that I will feel a sharp stabbing pain right below my brest bone. That is where my stomach starts. You shoudl tell your Dr. what you have told us.

Thank you so much..He know were he put the port and why, he also repaired a hernia when he place the band. I dont have hurtburn or anything except when I bend or my pants rub on my waist line specially jeans. I have a short torso so Im guessing that is not many place he had to placed it.. Unless I eat to much dont hurt..I being trying to recuperate from my last surgery and I think that stir many things all over..I put myself on soft foods n liquids n limited the quantities..I being reading about slippage n erosion n I dont think that is happening..I dont drink anything unhealthy n water sometimes is a pain, dont like it..Doing a lot of water trying to flush everything bad of the surgery, pain med n stuff, being taking it easy no lifting or nothing to agreavate the healing process..I had no fever, no throwing up or nothing stuck in a while, well stuck about 3 months, when i went to see my parents n they dont understantd what the band is eventhough I explain to them, they are more concern I dont eat much..I dont know if that happens to you, but i lost the fun even meat, cant eat chicken, pork or steak, after the surgery i make myself eating extremely chop chicken with my mashed pototoes or in my soap..But u have to do what u have to do..Will continue monitoring this soreness n little stabbing pain by my left side, prob is nothing mayor but everything started after my surgery. the portal I read other comments of other lapband they they are placed on the same place as my mine have the same problem.. thank you so much, hope to hear from you or anyone that have the same problems. At this point my husband dont understand much n he dont want to get to much involved.. I guess.. have a good one..
