Hello All!

I need your help. I have been banded since July 2010 and Now I am stuck.. I had alot of issues with traveling and having to get fluid removed and alot of various things. Now I am stuck in a rut. My dietician says its all about getting back into it and sticking to it, but I think it is more mental than anything. Has anyone been in the same situation and what have you done?? I have in the past 8 months gained 18 pounds....and I am getting frustrated because I did so good. Any thoughts or ideas about where to start...

You can still do this! I was banded the exact same time as you and although it is slower I'm still losing. Talk to your clinic, see if you need a fill and go back to following the basic band rules. Your clinic is there for support too. Another thing is to start an exercise plan. I joined Jillian Michaels site on line and I've been doing her workouts for a couple of months, they are hard but you see a quick physical difference! Work your band and it will work for you!!!

If you journaled or blogged take a look back and see what worked...also at least consider a tiny fill.

I know what you mean. I was banded March 17, 2010 and I am stuck also. I talked to my surgeon and he sugested I go in for a unfill. I was scared that it ment I failed. But he was quite reasuring and saying that we will empty and start re fill again. As he put it "A START OVER". I am very excited because it is working. Trust your clinic staff. They will help.

You really just have to start totally over. I had a little time like that at 6 months post op, but I returned to liquids and then mushies and then solids. I myself would never let them unfil me all the way as too many people say it never feels the same. But that is just my opinion.

Do you have a support group to go to. It makes such a difference. Find you a buddy here and exchange phone numbers or e-mails and keep each other accountable.

Maybe try low carb for a while to get yourself aways from the bad carbs and you should see some results.
