good luck..... i took my first long trip this weekend.. and im only 14 days out.. you;d be fine. i had a protein shake with me... so i sipped on that as opposed to juice soda or a frap from starbucks... and when i did get hungry i had pre made food from home.. blended chicken... and yogurt ( separately of course) and i was good to go.

lol you might actually enjoy it more.. no more waiting in long lines for food at rest stops.. just bathroom and hit the road again.. it helps for travel time.. lol.. have fun

I hope its wonderful for you! Did your surgeon say how long it would be before you travel. I am 8days banded and I really want to take trip not far but 3 or 4hours away. Any suggestions on how long I should wait?

I will be six weeks postop tomorrow. He didn't say anything about travel. I guess it would depend on how you are feeling when you drive. I had a really hard time after surgery driving for almost two weeks. It doens't bother me anymore.

I have my first road trip next week andit will be right after my first fill. I think I will stock a small cooler with protein shakes and water to make it through my trip.

I flew to Baltimore 1 week post op and did fine, I took my protein shakes with me and my shaker and just mixed them in my room and drank them through out the day when my friends were eating their meals. It was a little difficult being around all that food at first but I managed to stay true to my goals. Enjoy SC that is where I live and we are suppose to have a beautiful weekend here.
