Im supposed to have a meeting up at AMC to figure out if Im gonna do this. In the mean time, I thought it would be cool to try and drop a couple pounds. What the HELL was I thinking before Thanksgiving?? If anything, I have been eating more than usual. Its so... counterproductive- I find myself eating more cos Im thinking about getting the band done. WTF? Am I subcounciously trying to fail- again?? Will they let me have the surgery if I cant get weight off pre-surg?:o

I am one week til surgury and in the same boat. My doctor put me on a special perscription type diet to lose a couple lbs before surg, but explained that it is mostly to shirnk your liver down to make the surgery easier. Of course, that doesn't make me want to eat any less. It is so "darn" frustrating to want to do something so good for yourself....but feel doomed from the start. I hate that I have cheated already, and I HATE that I NEVER feel full...but our day is coming....I believe that.

Don't worry it is so common. Try making small changes. If you don't drink 8 cups of water a day, start now. Do you take vitamins, if you don't start now. Do you exercise, if you don't ....well try walking in place for 5 minutes at a time and increase as you can. I find it easies to do this when listening to good music while washing dishes or while watching my favorite show on tv.
