Just Dance!

Well I'm totally committed (or my husband would say I need to BE committed!) to exercising. I know that the scale staying at 18lbs lost for a week was because I needed to get up and shake what my momma gave me! I am doing Zumba on Tuesdays/Thursdays, but I was searching for something I could do at home. Low and behold, I bought the Just Dance 3 for the Wii. HIGHLY recommend! Everynight when my hubby goes to bed I get my controller strapped on to my wrist and I go to town. I'm sure if anyone was videotaping me I would go viral instantly because I'm sure that is a funny site to see! It actually lets you keep track of your week and your "sweat points". Not sure really what that means, but I'll take it!

NSV of the week:

Going back to work and having two boxes of Krispy Kreme GLAZED donuts on the table and not even having a desire to eat one!

I would also suggest EA Active, it is a really great excercise program and it has a 30 day challenge to keep you motivated. It comes with resistance bands but they are only so so, I would suggest you get your own and it's really easy to add weights to the routines. Also you may want to eventually add the Wii Fit acessory to the Wii (it's $60), the excercise program isn't that great but it also functions as a scale and can help you keep an electronic record of your weight

Cali- my doc cleared me to start excercising 10 days out, he just said to do what I feel comfortable doing

My doc cleared me on my 1 week follow up to exercise. Of course no lifting for 6 weeks. I definitely adjust accordingly when first starting out-like I wouldn't do the knee bends, or belly shaking stuff, but moving is good and feels great! :-)

my md said I could go back to regular activities two weeks after surgery (husband was asking wink wink) , MD said you can go handgliding if I wanted too, lol . but I do walk, and have hubby park furthest away from store for added little trot. I want to try Zumba too.

Ok last week I bought Just Dance 3 for xbox after read about it here.. Had a blast! THe kids loved it. So now need to fight the 3 year old for a turn. My 9 yr old was cover in sweat when they were done. SO Cool. My daughter(7yr old) said I looked like a fluffy hamster dancing... not sure what that means. Son said- "Mom you really can't dance can you? just follow the screen". Gonna do without kids next time. But is a great workout for whole family. Plus we get a laugh or two. Kids are pretty good dancers, who knew. Need to practice so i can be on same level.
