I am scheduled to go in for a fill this Wednesday. I was banded on 12/2 and dr put 1cc in my band. I do feel restrictions but not all the time. After 7pm on most days it appears I can eat almost anything and as much as I want. I'm not hungry in the mornings but I do eat an egg. During lunch i Usually feel restrictions. A few days ago I couldn't eat anything without spitting something up. Really bad day. On average. I am eating approx 1200 calories a day and the scale is not moving. Should I get a fill? If so, how much would you recommend? I am indecisive because I am feeling restrictions and don't want to overdo it.

I recommend getting the fill. It should help with the night time. Iv been banded over three years and it is still pretty easy to eat what I want at night. The longer you have the band the more you will be able to figure out the food part. I would recommend also only getting .5cc but talk to your Dr openly about how it is going. It is soo different for everyone. Good Luck

Like my wedding band, my band is tight in the morning and I have no appetite. By the after-dinner time it is super loose and I could snack all evening! Yes, I would talk to your doc. 1200 cals a day if you can stick with it will eventually put you close to a normal BMI. If any overweight or obese person tells you they are eating 1200 cals a day for a year and staying heavy thats just incorrect. You could either get a tiny fill or just wait out the plateau.

I got to 155 and stayed there a long time and then finally went in and got 0.3cc and my weight went right down to 145 in about 6 weeks.

Thanks for your responses. Xavier, has your band been the same way even after getting fills? Closed in the morning and open at night.
