Merry Christmas everyone! I was THRILLED to get a Red Lobster's gift card today

for Christmas. I'm just now on "mushy" so I won't be able to use it until my 4th week

when I turn to solid foods, but wanted to know - has anyone who had lap band try

to eat Lobster, Shrimp or Crab meat and if so, how did you do? Is that a food that would

get stuck or does it go down ok? I pray so, this is my favorite restaraunt of all time - I

pray I can still eat those foods down the road. Well this morning I'm about to try scramble

eggs w/ cheese - I can't wait, haha (so excited to be on mushy's) For dinner I'm eating a

sweet potato. I'm down about 28 pounds on MY scale (doc scale adds about 5 pounds)

but I'm loving shedding the pounds, makes it so easy to eat "right" - Have to get ready

for church - Hope you all have a wonderful day. God bless!

I have not had my fill yet, but I ate some tilapia (sp) the other day. It was soft and I chewed it up with no problem. I am also curious about shrimp. I don't think crab or lobster would be a big deal (except the calories). They are easy to chew up.

All depends on where you are at as far as restriction goes.

Early on I could eat just about anything.

Been banded for a year now. I have trouble eating meat, so I now eat a lot of fish, and chicken.

I have to be very careful with shrimp, and lobster tail.

Definitely cannot eat ANYTHING fried.

I went for my 2 wk post op Dr visit and she said that I can start eating fish, crab, etc. I boiled some shrimp and it was a little difficult to get down because they were pretty tough and I may not have chewed enough. So stick to the soft stuff like fish and crab.

I've been banded for over 2 years now and I can eat shrimp, lobster, crab, and fish. Actually, I have trouble eating red meat and chicken, so I stick to grilled and/or baked shrimp and fish. Everyone is different in their tolerance. When I'm too tight, I can't tolerate shrimp though. Good luck! I hope you have a positive experience!!

You can eat any fish especially the soft type on the mushy stage. I wouldn't eat any with crust though.

Everyone's band is different. I can eat all flat fish, shrimp and lobster when cut small. Seafood salad for me is well lets just say not for me. Clams are iffy and crab sometimes. You have to try and see. Go slow.

Hope you enjoy the eggs.

I love crablegs from Red Lobster! They are high protein low fat and take forever to eat, so you don't feel deprived. Also love scallops. I eat them at least 3 times a week. Quick and easy to make!! Stay away from the cheddar biscuits though! hehe!! :)

I love to eat baked or broiled fish. I have an allergy to other soft shell seafoods so I stay away from shrimp-crablegs or anything with a soft shell. It's just trail and error to see what works best for you.

Thanks everyone for posting. I look forward to when I can eat Red Lobsters again (don't worry TracieR, I don't care for their cheddar biscuits too much... now O'Charley's rolls is another thing.... haha, use to eat 8 of those back in the days - but I hear we can't eat bread anymore after l.b. - is that true?
