Still Having A Hard Time Sizing Clothes

Texasbandit

Ok as we all know clothing sizes can change per brand, store, designer, style etc. About a month ago I bought some new clothes but I've found it a bit disturbing how somethings are fitting now.

For instance, my ass. My ass is shrinking. Now I didn't have an ass to begin with, but now it's tight and smaller. So my old jeans have saggy butt when I wear them. Not attractive. Looks like I'm wearing a diaper underneath or something. Also shirts that I have hang at odd angles and look too big. I just don't want to look like I'm wearing clown clothes!! Anyhoo, so I bought new ones. Some stuff online and some at clothing stores. I tried most if it on.

Well maybe I'm not sizing myself right or something but I can wear the jeans I bought just fine. They are skinny jeans, but good lord the rest of it is kinda too big. So what should I do? Buy smaller sizes? Or just wait? I tried to predict and get a little smaller but I dunno now. I don't wanna waste money. I don't plan to buy anything soon since money is tight. But I work in an office and I don't want to go to work with my pants dragging the ground and 2 sizes too big!!!!

Don't get in a hurry! I had surgery Aug. 19, 2009. Start weight 275 current weight 135. Have gone from size 22 that was super tight to sizes 4/6. Try on everything. Your body is beginning to reshape and what you can fit into is soooooo different from what you're used to. I wasted so much money in the beginning, buying because it felt so good to be able to fit into REAL clothes. Take your time . I refuse to wear things that are to big. Buying new clothes will be a joy but have restraint. Good luck and God Bless.

I know exactly how you feel. I am losing and reshaping all the time. I am down 50+ pounds and the clothes I used to wear look hideous on me. People laugh at me. So, I did buy a few things, enough to get me through for probably another 4 months.

But I plan on getting a serger sewing machine soon (maybe Santa will bring me one) and will be able to take many things in.

But, love your new self and be proud. I am proud of you.

I've decided to slow down on the clothes buying and just wait until after christmas. Besides, I dont really have anytime anymore to shop.

Waiting till after Christmas is better to buy anyway because there will be tons of sales and especially on clothes!

Good luck with finding what fits :-)

You should see if you can find a cheap alteration place nearby, if their general prices are still on the high side for your budget, explain to them your situation and see if they would be willing to work a deal with you. Also see if there is someone in your church or work who knows how to sew and could make the alterations for you for a small fee or even in return of other services
