Not Losing

Guess its really time for me to start doing something more than depending on my band. I haven’t lost any weight this month. I’m going in tomorrow for my second fill. I hope this Tech don’t start no stuff with me. Cause she wanted me to lose about 10 pounds this month. I feel like I can eat just about anything i want I mean I have had a couple things get stuck. But the feeling didn’t last long. I really would like to be a little more restricted. I know my band alone will not do all the work. But it is really hard for me to participate in my weight lost journey. Some days I’m so stressed so tired that i just eat whatever I can find. Please pray that I can beat myself it a routine that is healthy and productive to my life. If i didn’t see the scars on my stomach I wouldn’t never be reminded that I had the surgery,

I am in the exact same situation. I am so stressed with a project at work that I am not sleeping (mostly working every night until 2 or 3 a.m.) and snacking and eating everything in sight - even with my first fill last month. I was hoping to lose at least 6 pounds and I lost four the first week and yo-yo'd all month. Like you, I know the band is not the culprit, it's up to us but I do feel exactly like you do. I can eat pasta, bread and so on but why do I do this? I can't believe I'm sabotaging my weight loss. I'm here for you!

Best of luck.

I have been there. I couldn't wait to get my fills so the weight would just fall off. I have had about 4 fills and now I am stuck like chuck with the weight loss too. I can relate to the sabotaging yourself cause I still do it myself periodically. You just have to get by a day at a time and eventually it change. You just got to remember you can do it!

Keep at it

I have been in your shoes. I would lose three pounds and then gain 2 back next month, back and forth. I am a year out and just now started losing at a steady weight. It took me about four or five fills before i felt the restriction. Everybody openingto stomach is different so there are a few of us that it takes a few fills before the pounds start dropping. It does work with time. I am finall losing so just be patient and use the tool.

I have had three fills, I feel restriction for about 3-weeks after a fill then back to normal. I do not eat pasta, bread, etc. My downfall is exercise. I am eating right but the scale is not moving. I think I am losing inches though..

With this process I think time is the key. It's been over a year since I was banded and my weight lost is a slow go. I have to monitor my eating habits daily. A lot of times I want to eat and I'm really not hungry. It's a mind thing that I really struggle with. Just be patient with yourself and remember this band isn't going to do all the work for you. It's just a tool to aide you in your weight lost process. Good luck.
