ok so my stomach is growleing and I hate my husband for making rice tonight but I cant tell if I am hungry or not....I don't "feel" hungry but I think I am fighting a mental thing. I drank 2 protein shakes today whick took me the better part of 2 hours each to get down ... and a little broth which felt good going down all warm ... and some water ... I am afraid of being dehydrated so I keep trying to cram fluids... even if it is just water .....took a little walk with my kids today trying to get moving but think I will skip the gym for a few more days......whatchutalkingabout_smile.gif

Hey Emmy, How many days post op are you? In the beginning it is normal for your stomach to growl. No one ever told me why but my logo was it was my lower stomach adjusting to my pouch. Once I started eating solid food that pretty much stopped unless I get real hungry and forget to eat and than I think it is telling me to feed myself. Make sure you stay hydrated, always good to keep some liquids in your hand all day long. The exercise will come. Keep up the good work.

Keep drinking your water, It may be a bit to early for the gym. at that stage I was eating a lot of Egg Drop Soup, (High Protein) Just stick to it, these first few weeks are a big time for weight loss and adjusting to the band. Do not rush it ( YOU WILL EAT AGAIN!) Trust me, I wish someone had told me that in the beginning. You may be hungry so try to keep hydrated and go to the Chinese take out and try the Egg Drop Soup!

Thanks ross I have never had egg drop soup ... will have to try :) I will keep you aprised. Grits are on my diet and they are delicious ... as close to "real food" as I can get at this point...do I have to blend the egg drop soup?
