I am about one and a half months post op. So far Lapband has been great for me. I'm still down about 25lbs and I'm happy with that. But I've been stuck at the same weight for a while it seems. It seems like I will go down a lb and be there for a couple weeks then maybe go down another lb. So I'm hoping that the fill I get today will help speed things up a bit. I feel like I can still eat whatever I want to (but I try not to). I have 1.5 cc in my 10 cc band. The only time I feel stuck is in the mornings. So I usually try to eat something light like yogurt. I feel like my weight loss would accerlate more if I planned out my meals more and worked out more. So that's my plan. I am going to the store tonight and I am going to get some small tupperwear dishes that I can start putting all my things in. I notice that when I am prepared for hunger I dont make a foolish decision. I have started walking too. Right now I'm doing about a mile 3 times a week. And I could probably bump that up a bit. Looking forward to this fill and hope Im not too tight :D Very curious to see when I will be in the "green" zone.

Hi Sarah, congrats on getting the band.

Sounds like you are experencing the same thing I did. I would lose a few pounds and then plateau for a week or so, maybe longer, and then lose a few pounds and plateau again. I have found out that is the way my system works.

The best advice I can give you is to stick to the rules and don't let the fact that you aren't losing at that moment detour you. Stick with what you know is right and even if you aren't losing weight, you will probably be losing inches.

Think about the "new you" waiting at the end of the road.

Best of luck

Sounds like your doc does fills slowly. Most people hit that green zone with about half the band filled, but everyone is different. Any loss is a good loss and 25 lbs is quite an acheivement. You seem to really have a desire to learn how to do it right. Planning really is the key. Also, I'm a fan of myfitnesspal. You can access it online and there is an app for the phone. I track just about everything I eat on that (trust me it gets addicting) and I have definitely been able to see patterns in my weight loss. For example, I tend to plateau when I go too long on too low calorie of a diet and am exercising too much. I can usually break a plateau with upping my calorie intake and lowering my cardio. It's just a good way of tracking and figuring out how your body works. You keep doing what you're doing and make yourself aware of your actions and that weight will keep disappearing!

I'm only one week post op and couldn't wait to see results from scales, Nothing. I weighed exactly the same as on surgery day. I'd lost 18 lbs on pre post diet. I'm confused, although I feel like I've lost a few inches. I go to my surgeon next week and I pray I've lost something..I have yet to start my exercise program, but have done some walking. What is the Green Zone?
