I had my banding done on 9/19 just wondering why I did this. I have been lightheaded and having a hard time getting in my 64 oz. I guess I'm a worrier and I'm afraid of dehydration or worse, clotting. Second guessing my descision at this time. Time will tell I guess.

Totally normal! I think I cried the whole first week that I made the wrong decision. Try to get as much fluids down as you can, keep the bottle with you at all times and constantly take small sips. Once you start to see the weight come off you will feel so much better!!! Almost 7 months out and getting banded was the best thing I ever did! Good Luck to you!

Linda I think it's pretty safe to say that day 2 and 3 are the worst for everyone (at least that I have talked to) I remember by day 5 or 6 I was feeling sooooo much better and by day 8 I was almost back to normal. Move as much as you can and as long as your trying to drink you'll be fine. Day 4 swelling starts to go down and it starts getting easier to swallow. Chin up hun. I'm 4 months out, down 60lbs, and extremely happy with my decision now.

I had my surgery on the 20th!!! No nausea ( i asked for the nausea patch), I do need to remove it today...omg...Also, for the first few days, dont worry about the 64 oz of water...just drink like the prior post, keep the bottle with you and sip all day..Walk, Walk, Walk...helps with clotting and boredom!!I live on a 2nd floor, so i have not gone out yet, but i walk on the treadmill. You can do it. WE CAN DO THIS TOGETHER!!

I too had mine done on the 19th and am very light headed. I just keep drinking and am walking as much as I can. Yesterday I was sitting on the couch and feeling pretty bad, my wife took me out for a walk and I felt much better. Whenever I eat my protein shakes I feel so sick, but I'm toughing it out...I keep telling myself it will get better :)

Normal feelings, My second and third day post op were my worst. Honestly it took my weeks to gain energy and months to learn to eat. I finally have hit my sweet spot, I have only had two fills and believe me everyone is different. It does not matter how much is in your band, You are morning the loss of everything, and how it used to be. Now as you start this journey you have to think before you eat, in the beginning it is difficult but if does get better if you learn to use your band and not expect the band to do the work. I have never regreted my decesion, I will be at one year next month and have lost 72 lbs with about 25=30 to go. You can do this, in the beginning I lived on this web site, it was my connection with people who really understood how I felt and without their support it would have been much harder. It will get better believe us.

So here I am day 8. I'm feeling better physically but mentally still questioning if I did the right thing. I am down 13 lbs so far so that's a good start. I'm not going to lie....researched removal process already. I'm not sure if it's a normal thing to still question or if I just have to suck it up and treat it like a new job...it needs a month or two to see if it works for me. Time will tell. Anyone else ever feel like this?
