So I go to my doctor im stuck at 70 pds, wont move, he asks what Im eating, heart burn, throwing up..etc..I tell him..he looks at me and says.."drop your calories to 600-700 a day, that should move you?".... i thought he was joking, 500 is starvation!!!!

So I clearified, he repeats said stupid statement, and im eating maybe 900-1000 a day if that, I work out 2 times a day everyday.... spin class to the gym to swimming and my hair is falling out in clumps....great!!!!

Maybe you're not getting enough calories. If you're working out that much you need more calories. You're body thinks it's starving and holds onto everything you put into it. Maybe talking to a fitness instructor where you work out could give you better advice on the matter. Good Luck!

Agree your doctors an idiot. Eating less than 1200 calories a day can stall your weight loss. You say you are exercising are you losing inches. I stayed at the same weight for months after losing 72 lbs but lost 13 inches from exercising and dropped a size. I got injuried, had to stop exersising, dropped my calories from 1340 to 1200 and lost 3 lbs. Now some say I stopped building muscle and lost fat again, what ever. Also i have done some reading that if you mix your daily calorie intake up every day, one day eat 1200, one day 1000, one day 900, etc it will jump start your weight again. Eating 500-600 calories aday is crazy and it will waste muscle over time along with fat. Good luck and I hope you can start losing again soon. I understand the frustration.

I'm with you. Something is not right. Can you change to a different dr in the practice or research other drs in your area? Don't wait too long to change. you need guidance now.

OMG! Please dont drop your calories. What will get you past the plateau is lifting heavy weights 2x a week. Do a full body session hitting all major muscle groups using the heaviest weights you can. Aim for 8-10 reps with that weight. I guearantee it will get things moving but you WILL need to eat more protein and calories in general to do this.

Honey from my personal experience, if you are throwing up with heart burn: it sounds like your band is too tight. You need to have some of your fluid removed and allow your stomach area to heal from all of the swelling from being too tight. Once the fluid has been removed you should go on an soft diet for a couple of days and slowly reintroduce regular foods back into your diet. Due to the hair lost purchase you some biotin supplements and that will help your hair to stop breaking and grow back. Being too tight will keep you from losing any weight. Good luck and yes it sounds like your doctor is stupid!<IMG class=bbc_emoticon alt= src="http://cdn.lapbandtalk.com/public/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif">
