Hello, I am glad you took control of your situation and started back on this journey. It's a long and tedious road but we can do it! I think it's important to remember that we will all have set back but don't get to comfortable in them. I would suggest when you get off your your liquid diet take small steps back up to solids like you did when you first had the surgery. Tuna, eggs, greek yogurt, chicken salad (I make mine like tuna), and plenty of water. I would suggest oatmeal for breakfast but I know a lot of people have problems with oatmeal. I eat it for breakfast almost every morning because it keeps me going until lunch time. Good luck! Oh, yea work out like you never have before! LOL! (If you don't have any physical limitations).

You will eat what you want and what you like! Make it smart choices, Eat small amounts of fresh wholesome foods, get your proteins in first and do NOT drink at any meal as it will push the food thru your pouch and you will be hungry again in no time. These are all the bandster rules as we know them. Move forward you had the surgery to be healthy and live longer so choose foods that will support that. Remember to chew, chew, chew and eat slow. That was hard for me. I used to inhale my food. I now take the time to savor the taste and flavor of my meals and the people I am with. <div><br></div><div>Today I eat small to be small. I have had my share of ups and downs we all do. I congratulate you for getting back in the journey. Most importantly is to KEEP blogging this is where we share how we feel and get feed back from others. People will learn from you so keep sharing. Best wishes imaluckydog</div>

So happy you took the first steps in regaining control of your life!!! I ditto basically what they have said above. For me this is a lifestyle change.. not a diet. You eat what foods you want BUT you make smart choices! You use portion control and eating your protein first to make sure you have enough energy and you remain full. As luckydog said..you must not drink before, during or after you eat..if you do..you just lost your protein and you will be hungry. Do not look back on what just happened..only look forward. You must remain positive and keep that positive attitude. When you are focused you can concur anything. I am not a gym person BUT you do need to walk, run and/or swim as much as you possibly can. Lifting weights and doing all the other stuff isn't required but if you walk or swim everyday you will be amazed on how quickly the weight will start to come off. Finally, stay in constant touch with lapbandtalk...when you are talking to or sharing your experiences, worries or issues with people who have been there/done that they totally understand..they are not guessing what it would feel like. Also, when you blog you are being accountable. I hope one of us have touched you in some way that helps you! i wish you the very best!! Take care!!
