I had my lap band placed Feb 1 2011 so far I'm down 21 lbs may 10th was my first adjustment i wasn't loosing after the 20 lbs for weeks. they said it would jump start the weightloss again NOTHING. I started excersizing everyday w a trainer 2 wks now NOTHING II think I need anther ajustment I eat well as always but I can eat a good amount of food before I am full at all. I alwas think I am doing something wrong thats why its not working. From the other stories I;ve read I guess an adjustment is'nt failure its part of the process. I keep thinking I should be doing better on my own without an adj. but in reality if that were the case than I didn't need the band in the first place just diet and excersize like in thne past!!!!!!!!! Any thoughts or inlightenment would be greatly appreciated thank you in advance LA0710

have you been counting your calories or just relying on the lap band to do all the work for you?

Do you limit your ounces at each meal?

Do you avoid all liquids during the meal and for one hour afterward?

I am 9 weeks post-op and down 49 pounds so far without a tightening.

sometimes we have to sit back and evaluate what we have been doing thus far. Have you been journaling? This keeps me on track and helps me realize what I'm doing wrong. I was shocked at how much I was eating when I started. myfitnesspal is a wonderul tool for tracking food, exercise, water intake, protein...etc. Great job on starting an exercise routine, sometimes it takes a little while for workout results to kick in. I understand how you feel and I was right there with you a few months ago. I had to look at what I was/wasnt doing and it was eye opening. Good luck to you!!
