Where am I going wrong?

I was banded 12/6/10. Initially I lost, the pre diet etc. from After I think I'm right at 8lbs since I started fills. A total of 32 lbs.

that's it. I eat 60 grams of protein a day, I drink about 80 ounces of fluid daily, I eat VERY few carbs..I did best on the 1200 calorie pre diet really..

and yet I am not losing.. I tried eating plenty of gree salad, which I loved..

but my body seemed to go into a starvation mode and didn't lose a THING.

 

I am so frustrated..

I work out daily, I'm changing it up now and working on cardio every other day, and weights the other days with walking.

I need to WORK it and make it work..

 

just frustrating..

Hi had my band done feb 2011 lost nearly 3 stone has dont been to bad,don't eat a lot work out 4 day a week loose about 1to 2 pounds a week but if i don't workouti dont loose anything which i don,t understand imy portion size is less then a childs,

Isn't that crazy. My doctor is saying I'm not eating ENOUGH..but if I do eat 1000 calories daily..I don't lose..which is what she wants me to eat!

Are you weighing what you eat. 3 oz each meal..................eyeballing can be deceptive when we are hungry,I just know that to be true of me.I bought that biggest looser food scale and kissed that problem goodbye.

Have you tried taking measurements? Maybe your body is changing in size and soon you'll start losing again. DON'T GIVE UP! I'm thinking positive thoughts for you!

I feel the same way I was banded on Dec 29,2010 and lost only 36 lbs and at a stand still. I workout daily in this Texas heat..... Just hang in there we've came so far just to give up.

I was banded on 9/30/10. I stalled out for awhile, too. I read a post that suggested adding more protein....so, I have been. And, slowly, but surely, I am losing again. I went back to choking down my shake in the morning (I'm not a fan, but still drink em). I also have a lot of salads... I throw in bacon bits, sunflower seeds and avocado. Chicken and steak are iffy for me. Some days I can be okay with it and some days my band says, "No way!" I am losing slow and still have my plateaus for sure, but no worries, girl, it will pick up. Between month 5 and month 8 were the hardest. I couldn't get the scale go down for anything!

I had my band in Jan 2011. I lost 40lbs., but I had trouble losing too,.I had hard time getting enough liquids, since I needed to eat more smaller meals, it seemed like I was eating all the time. Add the fact that Tuna, salmon, tilapia, scallops, steak, hamb., are difficult to get down. I have flat teeth too which adds insult to injury!! So... chewing food is challenging. My teeth are flat because I grind my teeth prob since childhood, non-compliant about the grind plate. Anyway, now I had my 2nd fill last friday, i have been throwing up at every meal just about and I must have lost some weight now!!!

But, I am soooooooooo... weak, I can hardly move, my son is coming over to help me do housework, and back to work tomorrow. I have not been able to take my medications due to upset stomach. So this is another concern. OH back to the food thing, well I started eating junk foods which I stayed away from and did not desire for the most part. Pringles chips(nonfat) go down fine, of course ice cream, smoothies, the salty soups like pea or tomatoe both high in sodium and sugar are great! Yuk!! not much nutrition there!!

Hopefully today my Dr will take enough saline out of the band so I can eat salad again! I miss my Romaine!! I am so quesy from throwing up last night after I tried to eat mcdonalds chicken nuggets, it really came close since I cannot eat any other chicken unless it is ground chicken mixed with avacado and refried beans and lots of salsa and cheese, but that was before my second fill.

PS When I was swimming , pre-second fill , I was feeling great and was toning up the skin a bit too!
