Fat day...really?

So, for the first time since being banded, I am having a fat day. I haven't lost anymore weight since my last posting and I know I need to work out more and add protein. I am leaving for vacation in a week and a half and having been busting my butt trying to get everything done. I make tutu princess dresses for babies and toddlers on the side, so I have been furiously constructing them to get them completed before I leave.....oy! A year ago, I stressed out for at least three months...at least...about the plane ride and being able to buckle my seatbelt. It was horrible. Everything buckled, thank goodness. One of the 4 planes barely buckled. This year, I am 50 pounds lighter but I started to freak out a week ago about the stupid seatbelts again.....yes, really, I did. It should be fine. While my body has changed, sometimes I still have the mentality that I originally started with. Strange, huh?

I think that's pretty normal for all of us. Any kind of restriction I had before losing the weight, there's always something in the back of my mind asking "Is it enough?" I went on a trip recently to Disney World, and while I didn't worry about the seatbelts on the plane, I did worry about a certain ride if I would fit or not.

I've heard about some people who used to have to almost walk sideways through doorways still do it once they've lost even 100lbs. I think it's a lot hard to change your mentality than it is to change your body.

I have a normal BMI and there are still times if I'm going somewhere where there will be alot of people that I wonder, wow, are people going to be looking at me wondering why I don't do something about this fat?! Or if I do catch someone looking at me someplace, I'm thinking that they're starting at me because I'm fat. I am slowly shrinking out of my size 6 clothing and these are my thoughts at times!! It takes time and effort to get your mind, body, and eyesight to all see and embrace the same image. Not a fast process by any means....

I love my protein shakes for a meal. Ice, skim milk, choc powder or frozen strawberries, skim milk and strawberry powder. Put in a blender or bullet blender. My new life. Weight will go down or stay the same. Weigh in days are Friday mornings. Can't wait until tomorrow.

Leaving for my vacation July 26th and yes, I am worried about the short plane ride also but I know I will fit that seat.

i have also lost 50lbs...and still have another 50lbs. I sometimes forget that ihave lost weight and think about not being able to do things.... i have been big for so long that it is tattooed in my brain "i cant". We must start thinking a new way.

Last year i had to get off a carnival ride with my daughter because the belt was about 2 inch to short.... that was a bummer! thanfully my husband was there so he could take my daughter on the ride .I think this year i could go on that ride.
