I feel so much better since that last fill! I have restriction back. YAY! No more bread eating or too many carbs...I love how my band helps keep me in line when I go off track. I hit 279 this morning....which, I think is great considering this is normally my highest time of the month (if you know what I mean). I have officially lost 48 pounds and am now 8 months out. Sometimes I sit and think about how slow the process is and how I should have lost more. Other times, I think what a big accomplishment this is.....considering I have had a couple missed appts and overfill recoveries :-) So, I continue plugging right along......

That's great Gtney!

You give me some inspiration...I forget sometimes that you have to take into consideration of trying to find the balance with the fills. I've lost quite a bit, but I honestly feel like I should be losing more, I can't wait to get my first fill! 48lbs is great for 8 months, that's a 7 year old that you're not carrying around anymore =)

Thats very good! I was feeling like I wasn't losing as much as I should but I have been reading around and I feel like Im just where I should be I'm 7 months out and lost 60 but we are all different! So you had overfills? when you were over filled how did that feel?

Thank you both! I got one overfill and I couldn't even get liquid down. It was horrible! So, they took fluid out and I had to wait another month for fluid to be put back in....I was so hungry from not eating then I was so hungry from just being hungry (too little fluid :-( Then, I had a bad cold and the sinus drainage made me stuck and not able to get anything down. So, I got some fluid taken out and was unable to go have it put back for 6 weeks. BUT, I can say this...if you have too little, you won't lose. And, if you have too much, you also won't lose. It truly is a sweet spot that you have to find!

Wow, thank you qtney for your blog-- I have been surfing around on this sight, looking for inspiration and encouragement and understanding! YOur post was so similar to my story in several ways-- and I could so relate!

I also am 8 months out (10/07/2010), and have lost a little more than 50 lbs since surgery.

I have now had four fills. However the first and third I had to go back in within just 4-5 days and have it taken out. Yesterday was my most recent fill. I am wanting restriction so badly, and yet with my other experiences I am also afraid. With the last fill, even after it was taken out, I got into bad habit of soups and smoothies-- not good solid proteins.. not enough water... Just not good-- and the weight loss has slowed significantly. (To my credit, I haven't gained!)

But tonight, I am just trying to work through being hungry, before I can get back on track with regular foods tomorrow--- and hoping it all goes smoothly.

Thanks for your post!

Tracy
