Good morning everyone! So yesterday I decided to get some new work clothes for two reasons. One-my old ones were getting saggy and two-the weather is changing. Off I go to my favorite store.....Cato. If anyone is familiar with Cato, you know they have the store split into two sides. Plus size and "regular" size. Of course I make a beeline for the Plus section. I saw some nice things, but all the sizes were too large. I'm thinking to myself, they have sold out of all the smaller sizes. I see this skirt I liked and asked the saleslady if they had anymore. She said "well, there are few more left on the other side" The other side? Off I go to the other side. To my surprise I could fit XL!!! No "W" on the end of it. And, it's not tight or inappropriate looking. I have on the skirt now that I bought there. XL? I have lost over 40lbs (which may not seem like much) and I had surgery 12/9/2010. But, I go to the gym 4 days a week for an hour each time. I'm taking step, weight training, kickboxing and Zumba classes. I have lost lots of inches. But XL? No one else can understand what we go through but others that have been through the same things we have. Our bodies change, we lose weight, but we still think that we are heavier than we are. Just think, I was on the plus side thinking they had ran out of smaller sizes, when I was just in the wrong section. My 10cc band it at 4.5cc now. I go this morning for another fill and I'm hoping that will give me the restriction that I need. Right now, I have none. I can feel a little first thing in the monring, but for the most part, I eat what I want. I think the fact that I have been exercising has kept me from gaining. Granted I eat far less than I used to, but I could do better. Well, thanks for listening and GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!

Yay!!! Congrats!!! I know it feels amazing. Just a few weeks ago I shopped at GAP... I never had set foot in that store because I was always so embarrassed of what people would think. Before the surgery I was a 24/26 and now Im also an XL. The day I went in there and started trying on clothes.... I literally cried in the dressing room, lol.

Good for you! I am waiting for the day I can wear something that does not have an elastic waist! Getting to go to the "normal" size department for the first time in a long time is a huge motivation to me.

I am almost to an XL. I can't wait. I still am happy I don't have to go to the specialty stores. I hated when people watched me going in them. Now I don't have to. At Old Navy the bigger clothes are with the women's in the store. It is nice to browse and find sweet clothes on the clearance rack. I bought a few items in smaller size as a goal to work towards.
