I am new at this Blog thing but looking forward to meeting friends that have gone thru the lap band surgery and how they are handling it. i am only 1 month after surgery and lost 21.5 lbs. Very happy about that but so afriad of eating the wrong foods. Please let me know what the rest of you are eating especially for dinner. I am still doing the soup thing....Boring......

You should be able to eat whatever you want without having any fills. I could eat plenty until my 3rd fill. I ate whatever I liked. Just have smaller portions.

I normally eat chicken or fish, some kind of veggie and a half a cup of Uncle Ben's whole grain brown rice (they microwave in 90 seconds and come in a variety of flavors). I cannot do pastas anymore, or bread. Congrats on the loss!

I was banded 2/3/11 and last couple weeks usually have two protein (30 grams each) drinks a day; one for breakfast and one in the afternoon. For lunch I usually have 1/2 cup refried beans or non/lowfat cottage cheese and have chicken or fish for dinner with maybe a few steamed green beans. Tonight I had about a cup of chili with beans. Sometimes I have a mini babybel light cheese if I'm still hungry at lunch. 64 ounces of liquid total a day too, 1/2 hour before or 1 hour after eating. On the weekends when I have more time I have scrambled eggs with a little cheese and salsa for breakfast. I am supposed to get my first fill next week. But even now before any fill, if I overeat I hurt. Good Luck and keep up the great work!
