I love reading the blogs on here. This is an excellent way of learning and supporting each other with the lapband. Just looking for people to email and make friends with on here. I don't have much home support and not much into going to the support meetings they are out of town and not very convient with my work. :D

I agree. I don't have much support at home either. I have not been able to go to meetings due to work and little one's at home afterwork. Please feel free to connect with me if you wish. I get banded tomorrow. Feb 3rd.

Me too! I dont have a lot of support either. Actually, I guess when it comes down to it, I don't have any support. No one calls and asks me how I am doing. No one understands and has the time for me. All my husband does is says, you are not aloud to eat that anymore. Oh, but yes I can, just not so much. He has no idea. I feel alone. I haven't lost much weight yet and had 2 fills totalling 2.5 cc. All the weight I lost so far was before surgery on the nasty liquid diet. I've lost nothing since, but I have not gained either. I've even started doing exercises, still nothing. No drop in dress size even a tiny bit. I guess I will have to get more fills. I was banded Nov. 5th. I don't want to be so down, but I just need someone to stick by me. I know I can't do it myself.

Good luck on getting banded tomorrow. I wish you the best of luck with that. And just remember the soreness does go away eventually.

I can totally relate. I've heard the "are you suppose to be eating that??" comment too. I looked and I haven't lost any weight since Jan 4th I was banded dec 28th. I've been happy as long as I don't gain any weight during this time. I go for my first fill next week. I'm hoping they put enough in that I don't have to keep paying to go back all that often. I've thought about going back on the liquid diet for a week just to lose more weight before I go to the doctor, not sure it's worth it though. I was looking at pictures today and that's depressing to see no change in a month. All part of the process I guess. Just know you have friends on here knoebelcamper!!

I know exactly how you feel I've heard the "are you suppose to be eating that??" comment too. They just have no clue. Know that you have friends on here that believe in you. You can do anything you set your mind to!! I've even considered going back on the liquid diet for a week till my doctors apt next week just to lose weight, but not sure if it's worth it.
