Ok...I'm 2 months post op and I've been filled twice (2.5 cc total). And not losing...My portions are extreamly smaller from my pre-op size so I'm not sure why I'm not dropping. I go for my 3rd fill tomorrow so I will dicuss this with my Dr...But, wondered if anyone else is struggling or how anyone got over this hump...I really would like to start dropping sizes soon.

I have 7 cc in my band and still don't have restriction. I have been able to lose weight but I also exercise like a demon.

I too have only been filled with 2.5 cc and am not losing any weight. I am discouraged and feeling very depressed considering I have read a lot of banders have lost mega pounds just after their second fill. Heck, even right after their surgery they have lost pounds. I have lost 18 pounds totaled, but all but 2 of those pounds were before the surgery on the crappy liquid diet I had to be on. I am doing all the right things. I have even researched and gotten healthy recipies to cook and started exercising. NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING! My portions are very small too. Then there are those that say you are not eating enough. Well, I dont understand........Lets get surgery so you won't eat much, then people say, "You are not eating enough". I am going crazy! I am so damn depressed because I am not losing anything! Sorry to be a downer! I hope there is still hope for me because I am not giving up YET!

Hang in there! My doc has said if you are less than half filled you basically dont have a band. Keep getting fills! My doc accesses the port while you are lying flat then cranks up the table so you are sitting up. She has you chug water and injects fill at the same time...when I choked on the water, she said, "Perfect!". And it was. I can only have liquids or mushies in the morning (well worth it) and then at dinner I am lucky to be able to eat one slice of pizza with lots of chewing. Evening its a little looser and requires a tad of will power.

After that choke/fill I am at 7.5/10cc band and I am losing about a pound a week with no real effort or exercise! I went many months without a fill and thought that since I was maintaining it was my fault I wasnt losing!

If you are dieting/counting calories/ exercising to lose weight etc....YOU DONT HAVE ENOUGH FILL! When you are filled right, this is easy! Good luck!!

I am in same position ...3 months post op , 2 fills and no weight loss. Disgusted ,depressed , pissed off you name it . I am eating less then pre surgery but most of my weight loss was prior to surgery. I keep hearing I am not at my sweet spot yet.

Wow - that is depressing! I am 1 wk. post op and lost 10 lbs. just this past wk. I sure hope this is not what I have to look forward to down the road. A huge lul in wt. loss. I have no clue when or if I need a fill yet???? Maybe they will tell me at my 2 wk. post op dr. visit? Well I sure hope things start going better for you. Hang in there though and don't give up. Maybe a lil more exercizing will help??? I don't know. Take care.

Thaks for all your stories - Nice to know we're not alone...XAVIER - I have never heard of this choke/fill...I'm going tonight for my 3rd fill and will talk about his idea with her...I like that.

My clinic also offers a support group and my first meeting is tonight as well so I'm so excited to sit and chat with other bandsters live in person.

I'll check back in and give any updates...Keeping positive, I know this will work for ALL of us.
