My first 40 pounds came off with little exercise, mainly with diet control and keeping to the 30 grams/day of non-vegtable carbohydrates...not that I haven't slipped here and there. Now that I'm closing in on 200 lbs, I'm needing to exercise some to punch it up a notch...but at least now I can do the exercising!
