Changes I Can't See...

I have not purchased clothes in about 4 years because, I struggle the sizes and get severely depressed when I go to stores so I try not to go to them as much. I decided to go to Avenue's to see their fall collection today; I wanted to see if I had made any progress with my weight loss because I still look the same. Now, usually I would fit in a size 30 or 32 but for some reason I wanted to try a smaller size. I tried on a size 26 pair of jeans, they fit snug but I can button them without issues. I started to cry out of anger because I am not seeing the changes and I could not bring myself to purchase those jeans nor any others, I had to leave that place right away.

I am sure some of you may be asking why am I upset when I seem to be losing weight but here's the thing; although I don't post on here as often, I look at other blogs and pictures and see people who have lost more weight and is progressing much better than I. Now, don't get me wrong, I am not necessarily comparing myself to anyone in particular but I think I should be a lot further along than I am now. I just want to see the changes and right now I DO NOT. I have an appointment to see my doctor for my third fill and I am going to express my thoughts on this progress because what I have now is just not working how I imagined it would. :frown: :w00t:

Do not be so down or heard on your self. You are doing just fine, you have gone down 4 or 6 sizes. And you are just into your 3rd fill.. We can not compare our self to others, we all lose weight differently. If you add excising to your day, it will help you to lose more weight faster. BEST OF LUCK..

Size 30 or 32 down to 26? That is fantastic. I think we have to take the accomplishments as they come and enjoy each one. You are doing well - please don't be discouraged. But it is a good idea to talk to your doc if you have questions. Keep up the good work.

When were you banded? How much have you lost? I would love to be in a size 26! You are doing awesome as long as you are losing! Are you typically a person who sees the glass half full?

I have lost a total of 34 pounds. Yet my pant's size has not gone down but 1 size. Part of that is due to all of my cloths being way too tight before surgery. However, I had refused to buy anymore knowing that I was having the surgery. Also, I lose weight on top first. The bottom is the last to go.

I just take it one day at a time. Do not get discouraged. Each small ounce loss is a victory! I know from reading on this site that many who have now loss 100 or more pounds have all had that frustration at some point or another. It is how you work through that frustration and keep going on that will help you to perservere!
