good day LBT family

So I had my second fill 10 days ago. since then i have not lost a single pound. I am to the point where i just wanna break down and cry...no I take that back not cry BAWL! I am doing everything right. I watch what i eat. I spend 2 hours a day in the gym almost every day and still not one single pound. I weigh my self constantly and the fact that the numbers has not changed is really discouraging. Can some one pleeaasse give me some words of encouragement. im losing my mind:crying:

How many calories are you eating on your workout days? 2 hours in the gym is a long time assuming you are working hard and you may not be eating enough? IDK, but I bet if you keep at it and don't give up the pounds have to eventually budge!

Girl dont let it get you down. I promise it will come off. I have been there before. It is very frustrating and some times you will do everything you are supposed to week after week and nothing will come off. Then one day out o the blue you will step on the scale and lose 5-8 pounds out of no where. I think your body gets used to you being a certain weight and hangs on to that and then if you keep doing what you are doing, bam out of no where more falls off. I am down 97 pounds and now I go months with out losing at all. My body is getting smaller and used to being this weight (162) and doesnt wanna let go of it. I know it is hard but it will happen. God bless and good luck, Mechelle

Also, remember that with all the workouts you are doing is causing u to gain lean muscle mass which tends to weigh more than fat. After a while it will balance out and you will see the scale move. In the meantime, look for other non scale victories such as loose clothing and such. Hang in there

A couple things:

- check with your nutritionist. Even though you are getting 1300 cals a day you might still be "starving" your body based on the heavy duty workouts. My PA told me to get in a whole extra meal when I do more than 45 minutes of cardio a day. It helped IMMENSELY. The plateau "went away" within a couple days.

- are you measuring yourself? maybe the scale and weight isn't the way to go for now -- focus on pants being bigger, easier to go up stairs.....

- kick up the protein and lower the carbs?

- water?

You have come a long way!! Try not to let it get you down! Hundreds of people on this site have lost a TON of weight; the tool works :-).

Chin up...it's all about fills/restriction, which you didn't mention...are you still hungry between meals? I didn't get help from my Band until after my 3rd fill, so hang in there. -BG

The exact same thing happened when I was first banded, I told my husband "But I am doing everything right!" and he was like "um, no your not" once I started weighing and measuring my food and logging my calories I found lots of hidden calories that were adding up.

Its like balancing your checkbook in your head, if you write enough $25.99 checks and only "head" count them as $25 you will eventually be overdrawn.

To make good food decisions you need facts not estimates. I only lost weight at 800-1000 calories so if you keep a food journal it gives you the ability to track and see where your best calorie range is.

Good luck, Leigha

i cant say it will work for you...but I had a fill 2 weeks ago and my scale had not moved in over 2 months. I was eating less and working out (elliptical) 3 times a week for 1 hour.

I stopped going to the gym for 3 weeks because of back pain...and to my surprise the scale started moving down. I have lost 5 lbs in 2 weeks...i do plan on going back to the gym...i just think sometimes my body needs a change in the routine... another thing i noticed was that when i work out i am HUNGRY and tend to eat more...

Anyways, keep your chin up!!!
