So tomorrow it will three weeks since my surgery and I am down 26 lbs. I am so proud of myself. I love it when people come up to me and tell me how good that I am looking! That has never happened to me before. I do have a question that maybe some of you can answer, I get my first fill on Sept. 15th, at 9:15am should I eat before my apt or go on a empty stomach? Also does it hurt to get the band filled? I know the needle going in is not going to hurt but do you feel the pressure on your stomach when they tighten it up? Any answers will help! Thanks guys!!:scared2:

Congrats on your weight loss! I had my first fill 3 days ago. My Dr.'s office says no solid food 4 hrs. before fill. We can have protein drinks up to 1 hr. before fill. They wanted my stomach fairly empty so they could see how fast the liquid I drank ran through it. When the saline goes in the band I couldn't feel any tightening around my stomach. I have had a few fills and yes, they do recommed you dont eat solids (like Winks said) a few hours before the fill. I didnt feel my band tighten on the first couple of fills but felt it on the last one. Not a bad feeling though just an awareness of it actually being there.

Just filled today. I feel nothing. About 10 people did it this mornign and everyone had a different experience. I feel no restricition. 2 had to have saline removed immediately.

Everybody is differently. Nothing hurt and it's really quick.
