R U kidding me? 27lbs is fabulous. Don't sell yourself or the work you are putting into losing the weight short. Every ounce is a victory, so shout it to the world. I HAVE LOST 27LBS! Keep it up - we fellow bandsters are very proud of you.

You are doing great....my problem use to be that I would lose the weight but it would come back just as fast as I lost it. With the band it is staying off.:)

That's great, good job!!

Everyone seems to lose weight at a different pace. I think I lost about 20 pounds the first Month or so then dropped back to a pound pound and half a week or less after that. What they don't tell you (at least in my case didn't tell me) is that the pound a week or so is an average and not neccesarily linear. That means one month 2 pounds next month 10, next month 0 next month 6. I finally just stopped weighing myself because it was driving me crazy. Besides they weight me at my baratric clinic and PCP anyway. I think belt size may be a better metric. It is for me anyway. I'm at about the 6 month point and I've lost about 40 pounds and 6 inches around my waist. The weight is good, but comfortably getting into pants and shirts I haven't worn in 5 or 6 years is priceless. :)

Thank you all for the encouragement! I did expect to loose more weight week by week since i lost 15lbs or so right after surgery - then the weight loss slowed down dramatically!

Yes Kayakguy, I did notice the non-liniar weight loss average...just past week i lost another 6lbs when the weeks before that it was just 1 or 2 lbs. I feel better to know that this is normal/expected.
