Strange way of eating

Yesterday, my schedule went something like this: I woke up at

5:00 am, put on a pot of coffee for the dh and cooked him some eggs and toast. I didn't eat because I am usually tight in the morning. Once he was gone off to work. I play FB games for about half an hour. At

 

6:00 am: I did the Biggest Loser workout. Finished that close to

7:00: showered, and woke up the kids. Fed and dressed them and drop them to daycare. I scrambled two eggs for me but only ate three bites (if that). Then I headed to CPR class. Around

10:15: I ate an 130 calorie nutrigrain bar. 12:30, had a half cup of watermelon

4:00: had 3oz of catfish w/ 2 tablespoons of greenbeans

9:30 pm: had 1 oz of grilled catfish w/2tablespoons of mix veggies.

 

I didn't think about food, was barely hungry, and loved it. I am scheduled for a fill 08/13 and have been thinking of canceling it. But after yesterday, I am really, REALLY unsure. Now this morning went the same except I had left over fish and mixed veggies for breakfast. It's 9:30 and I am HUNGRY!!! So, do I need a fill or don't I??? I want the feeling I had yesterday. I had never experienced that. I kept thinking "THE SWEET SPOT DOES EXIST". Tell me what you think.

I too am also very tight in the am. I have coffee and a protein bar usually around 8:30am, it takes me about 30 minutes to finish the whole bar. then I have a laughing cow cheese around 10:30, then at lunch all i have is tuna, chicken or salmon, small portion plate. at 2:30pm another protein bar, then for dinner tuna, chicken or salmon again, nothing after 7pm. I have 5cc and only have had two fills. I have good days and bad days. I find if I wait too much between meals, I fill up with air and it is harder to get things down. But I really love my band and even on the worst day don't regret it. M-

Wow you guys eat much less than I do! I'm definitely getting a fill! LOL.

I find (good or bad) if I drink coffee I'm more hungry. I also eat more when I'm bored. I don't think I'm really hungry, I just eat.

I have had 2 fills and have 7.25cc in there already.

You are both doing fantastic!!!

@Sandra, my surgeon wants an intake of 800 calories per day (I do about 1300 and try to burn 500) and wants his patients satisfied on half a cup of food. I usually eat a cup of food and have to make force myself not to go back for seconds. Because I ate so little yesterday, it got me excited, thinking that I had finally conquered the sweet spot and the half of a cup thing. I have caught myself eating slider food when bored but it's got to stop. btrieger gave me a challenge. .......

FYI I have 7.4cc's in a 10cc band.

It's so hard to tell, at least when you're new, whether a fill is necessary or not. Some days are MUCH easier than others. I do know I will need another one because, generally, it takes more than 1/2 a cup to fill me for a prolonged period of time. It's so nice to know, though, that fills are an option rather than enduring hunger all the time, like it was when dieting without the band. I generally go to bed hungry.
