This Sunday is not only my brother-in-law's birthday, have a happy Dennis, but I am going to take another sent of pictures in the green top I started my journey in. For those of you interested, you will find my photos in my album. I am anxious to see a side-by-side.

I think the only way we can actually view ourselves as we really look is through the eye of a camera. I know they say the camera puts 10lbs on you, but I think that's only a TV camera.

I've always run from the camera when friends want to "remember the time". Or try to find a way to hide part of my body, but I am looking forward to the day that I am the one saying, "Does anyone have a camera to capture this memory?"

I was telling my husband on the way back from the gym tonight that I really believe my stomach is getting a bit flatter. Then I realized it is only 5 or 6 weeks since my surgery and realized I have a heck of a long time to go to reach my goal weight. I know I will eventually get there, but I am only taking 10lbs at a time.

As my friend and fellow bandster I'm a Luckydog said, she has lost 110lbs in a year and it went a lot faster than she thought it would. She is now on maintenance and doing great. How wonderful is that?

Have a wonderful weekend everyone and check out my pics next week.

Great Blog I can't wait to see your pics you are changing so much already in a short period of time :)) Great job! You are very inspirational. I love the part about the camera isn't that the truth I always have hidden from the camera at family gatherings, childrens bday parties even my own family vacation Oh I might be in one or two if my family insists but usually I am the one on the other end of the camera taking pics because in reality I am too embarassed to be photographed. I can't wait until I get to the point where I will enjoy being in photos with my friends and family!

A young woman I knew since she was a little girl, just passed away from Colorectal Cancer. She listed several things she would do differently if she could, she was only in her 20's. One of those things was "Don't always be the one behind the Camera" Photos are memories of snapshots in time, the times of our lives! They do provide a history of the journey of our lives for those who will come to know us through them even after we are gone. I am going to have a session with a photographer in some new clothes very soon for my one year Bandiversary, then one year from now, I will look back on them and hopefully be changed some more for the better. Great Idea, love to see you and read your blogs! Keep them coming.
