I was banded on May 13th. I really struggled with the decision to get the LAP-BAND®®. But so far everything is going very well. I had my first fill right at a month ago. I am down almost 60 pounds (20 lbs prior to the procedure), of course I have quite a few pounds I need to loose.

 

At this point in time I am thinking I did the right thing and am very happy with the choice I made.

Hi. I'm in the insurance/six month pre-consideration phase and am wondering if you feel the band? I'm nervous that I'm going to feel it inside of me and worry that it's going to make it difficult to breath. I'm having a bit of a jitters right now.

Hi Chunkie... I don't feel the band at all. I can feel the port. I have gotten used to it. Occasionally I bend over and lean to the left and it can be a little uncomfortable. Other than that it has been smooth sailing for me.
