I got my band on the 28th of June and of course in the first week or two I lost weight, but once I started healing and was able to eat a little normal than I began to gain some of the weight back but I have sustained since.

Anyway, so for the past few weeks I have been having this pain where my band is and I've been experiencing major gas in the upper part of my belly. Also, I've been eating and it's crazy because I would take maybe 3 bites of something and feel full... I'm not sure if I supposed to feel that way when my band isn't fill.

Speaking of fill, I was scheduled for a fill on the 17th of August but after going through a little depression because I haven't lost weight I finally called my doctor and begged him to push up my fill date and thank GOD they agreed. I will be getting my first fill on August 3rd. I'm glad they are allowing me to come in sooner because I have not dropped a thing.

Hello Mrs Stevenson, don't get disappointed..it's a process n my doctor says were n lapband HELL right now. It's been 7weeks for me and I have lost a total of 10pds..I was sad at first, but I can tell in my clothes, more than the scale. It's weird, but I know in time,it will get better.I had my first fill, last Thursday and no restriction..I was told it may take me a few more times, until I hit the Green Zone, which is when you start to lose weight and not feel hungry as much..soooo,I'm trying not to focus on the weight, just know we have our tool and in time,it will begin to work..Good-luck,we'll get there soon..Ms.Gwendolyn

Mrs. Stevenson - have you been incorporating walking and activities into your schedule?? We have to understand that this is a tool to reduce the intake of food we also have to get up and get active. I am the worst at that and I know that is what slows down my progress so I thought I would share. Wishing you much success on your journey.

The doctor's says to concentrate on healing the first month. I was on mushies two weeks after surgery and ate lots of mashed potaoes. Needlesstosay, I gained a pound the first month post surgery. When I went in for my first fill, I thought my doctor would be furious. Even the nurse who weighed me eyed me suspiciously. However, my doctor reassured me that it was okay and I was ready to really get on track. I had 1.5 cc added in my first fill, so know that I was hungry and working on sheer will power. Give it time. My biggest success was fifteen pounds in the month of May. That month, I excercised daily and made sure I got in my 60-80 grams of protein a day. The area around your band is swollen and is healing itself, remember? So, there may be tightness which causes you to eat less.
