I AM NEW TO THIS SITE. I HAD MY BAND JUNE 8TH. I AM HAVING BACK PAIN. AND I NOTICED YOU SAID YOU WERE AS WELL. I HAVE GONE TO THE DOC SEVERAL TIMES AND THEY CHECKED FOR BAND PLACEMENT. THEY SAY EVERYTHING OK BUT I KNOW I AM FEELING DISCOMFORT IN MY BACK RIGHT WERE THE BAND IS. THIS IS VERY CONCERNING TO ME. HAVE THEY GIVEN YOU ANY EXPLANATIONS?????

Kathleenh, I've had back pain since waking from surgery. In the hospital I was asking for pain meds, not for the surgery but for my back. That was a month ago. After that I had back pain daily. When the incisions healed and the swelling went down, i started paying attention to my body, and I figured that when i ate too much, even just a little over, i had back pain. Then I took zantac 75 for heartburn, and i haven't had any back pain since. no more pain. I am also on solids, i don't know what difference it's making, but i'm just glad to be free of the constant aching pain. what was heartburn probably felt like back pain for me, it was all aligned with my band too, all in the same area. i am seeing the doctor next week because of this, but i feel so much better now, i;m a whole new person, really. Today i had so much energy, i like my band even more, and all the songs on the radio were great! life was good today! Don't give up, it WILL get better!, and keep close contact with the june bugs, it's a great pack of people and great help!
