Frustration and Impatience

Yesterday my workout buddy, who is following a diet MOST of the time told me she lost 9 lbs in two weeks. (She weighs about 40 lbs less than me and isn't banded). OK, I'm eating 1/2 what she is, working my butt off (I guess not!), and today I put on jeans that are no looser than they were the week before my surgery.

Unhappy describes it. I won't get on the scale anymore because its not moving like I want it to.

I can't even eat this week (ref previous blogs) and I'm still not moving in the right direction. I don't eat outside the program, and probably intake between 800 - 1000 calories most days and up to 1200 max. I work out SEVEN days a week. I am 5 1/2 weeks post surgery and I actually lost more weight the two weeks before surgery than I have since.

I'm missing a piece of this puzzle somewhere. I'm kind of tired of self-talking myself into doing the right things when I'm seeing no results!

FRUSTRATION REIGNS.

It may be your metabolism; everyone body is different. We should not compare ourselves to the progess of others because that will only cause us stress and frustration and may effect our health and hender your weightloss. Just know that you are doing well and you have what it takes to meet your goal. Keep up the good work... You can do it!

Hello sandradee...well,i guess I thought something was wrong with me...after I heard your story,i feel alot better...I thought something was wrong with my band...have u gotten a fill yet? I think everybody.bodies are different...to be honest i did better at this point without the band...before being banded i could lose the weight up to a certain point(30pds) n gain it all back n some...i really think it's cause its the summer n i'm anixous...if i can keep n mind that it's a long term goal,i'll be okay!!! but it's depressing when you know your doing your best...it's been almost 2wks n i haven't lost anything, however my family seems to think that i'm losing..maybe it's the inches...on the 7th it will be a month for me,since i've been banded and i'm hoping i get a fill, however i've heard that you may still be hungry after...I think with the right adjustments n time we will be fine...keep up the great work!!! and don't give up...Have a great holiday weekend....Ms.Gwen
