I know its hard! I like muscle milk. Are you allowed to have solid protein? I had a chicken breast every night.

On the full liquid diet, any Whey Isolate protein mix will do. Just watch the carb count. I don't do chocolate, I like the Vanilla Creme Super Advanced Whey Isolate you can purchase at WalMart. It says it is 60g of protein, but you are only going to use 1 scoop, not two. But, I mix 1 scoop unflavored protein which is 13.5g protein and 1/2 scoop of the vanilla creamfor 15g protein w/6 oz of decaf coffee and 2 oz plain water it in the blender with ice. It isn't bad - you really get used to the taste.

I have done the 7day full liquids and today was the clear liquids diet. My surgery is tomorrow - good luck to you.

Oh..yes, I can have 1 serving (4-6 ounces) of lean meat and 1 serving of veggies. Today was not as bad as Friday. I pray next week is even better.

I like the Bariatric Eating website's INSPIRE. It tastes ok but you get your protein and it has 0-1 carb per 4 oz serving. I can chug 4 oz's so it isn't that bad. Muscle Milk was found to contain arsenic so I don't drink it but I liked it when I did. The pre-op and post-op were no fun because I wanted to go out to eat and live life as I did before surgery but I have adapted.

I like the EAS Advant-Edge Vanilla shakes. They come in a pack of 4 for about $4.50 at Target. Yummy and filling!
