I am going to get banded on Monday! I am very excited and very nervous!

I just found out I have to go for a follow up the next day and its about 35 minutes away. Does that sound doable?

I was hoping to just relax, and walk around the house :smile2:!

Second question is he told me to stop the birth control pill, anyone else ever told this? And lasty did anyone use chewable gasx, did it help post surgery?

Thanks for the help!

Hello! Goodluck on Monday!! You will be fine! I am assuming that you are having your surgery and released the same day? You will be fine to go see the surgeon the next day..sore but ok to go see him or her. A lot of people live by the gas-x strips. It will help with the gas that you will have from the surgery. Also, the more walking you can do will help. I have never heard of any dr asking you to stop the birth control. It is small enough for you to swallow, a lot of women trying to get pregnant get banded to lose weight to increase thier chances..so I would like to know his reasoning behind that.

Just relax (easier said than done)..you will do just fine!! I wish you the best!!

I agree will all of that. I would recommend you have someone drive you the day after surgery. I went out 2 days after surgery and it took a LOT out of me. Driving still isn't 100% comfortable yet. GasEx strips are awesome! Cinnamon is the best. :) Good luck! You will be fine!!

Thanks for the advice. Suppoosedly the birth control is precautionary for clots. OK running out to get the Gas x strips!!
