To fill or not to fill??

I haven't had a fill in over a year. I wanted one the last time I had an appointment (6/09) but my Dr was out (I've only been filled by my Dr) and I saw the PA. She said after a few questions NO FILL. Go home and work on the diet.

It is now a year later, I've regained A LOT and am now afraid and embarrassed to go see my Dr.

I think I will cry went I see my Dr. I was doing well before the PA shut me down. He was proud of me. She made me feel like there wasn't anything the band could do for me now. It was all up to me. Now Im, well I don't want to say a failure, but gosh what else would I be??

So do I knuckle down and try to again lose by myself or suck it up and go to the DR??

Has anyone else had to suck it up? How did that go?

YUP! SUCK IT UP AND GET YOURSELF BACK TO YOUR DOCTOR!!!

The PA may not have been tactful but reading your previous blog about that appointment indicates that you needed to work on your diet and habits, if you are running amuck in that area a fill is not the total solution.

Get back to your Doctor, you seem to have been very comfortable with him. The only failure is if you, by choice, let this seSET BACK become permanent.

Can you go to a support group? You need help - this is not an easy journey and supportive companions along the way are a part of that success.

PICK UP YOUR PHONE...... NOW!

CALL YOUR DOCTOR, MAKE AN APPOINTMENT..... NOW!

Blessings!

This is such a tough, tough thing. I think that you need to make an appointment, INSIST on seeing your doctor and LISTEN to what he has to say. Fills are an important part of this process, but so is personal responsibility.

You have a tool inside you to help you and you are not using it at all right now. You have to do something to get yourself on track. But you have to get your WHOLE self on track.

Best of luck, girlie. We are always out here for you.

You need to see the doctor. The PA probably was not as tactful as she should have been, especially if you walked away feeling like a failure. You are not. Look how well you have done so far. Get on track, call the Doc and set some goals for yourself. You can do it. We all can. Go, make a call.

SCREW THE PA!! Get yourself an appt with your Dr.

You will probably will have to hear a speech from him but just take it in and then move on...

I have not been 100% with my food choices and i have also had no restriction...and that is why my weight loss has been very very slow... in the last 4weeks have not lost anytrhing.

Going for a fill next friday.

Good luck and get back on track!!
