You have my support, fully!! My surgery was Monday and it wasn't too bad. Yes, there is pain. Obviously, but it's manageable with the meds. Don't try to be a hero, first of all--if you are in pain, take the medicine. A hurting body is not a healing body. When they say you should walk, DO it! Even if you don't feel like you can or want to. That helped me tremendously. I have had ZERO gas pains and I think it's because I walked SO much right away. They will probably give you little medicine cups of water to drink every 15 minutes--it's the perfect amount to sip at first. Don't gulp it down. It took me about 3 sips to drink the whole thing each time. But I've had no problems keeping anything down this week. Best of luck to you! Keep us posted and let us know how you're doing!!! I had my surgery 6-1-10 and it was better than i thought to. I was in a little pain but the meds helped i only took them for a couple days and maybe at night to rest and sleep. i was sore but it was tolerible. Just stick with the drs orders and you will be fine. All those feelings you are feeling i had to before my surgery it is normal. Best of luck to you.
