Preppy!

Not something I've ever been called! But I am taking this week to PREP my apartment. I don't want to have to worry about ANYTHING next week after the surgery except healing. Unfortunately I have a lot to do to prep!

I just got back from Minnesota a little over a week ago. (Was up there for 5 weeks for work.) And I've been so busy since then that I've let my place get the better of me. So, what's on my to-do list...

Laundry

Vacuum

Dishes

General tidy up

Ok, I think I can tackle all that. Ha! It's not that bad when I write it out!

Liquid diet is still going ok. Though I slipped up and had a bit of the bread they gave me with my soup yesterday. YIKES! But I think I'll be ok. I was just a bit too hungry for broth-only soup. I need to start bringing those shakes or something with me when I'm out all day.

5 more days!! Woot!

The anticipation is the worst!

xo

You are so right, the anticipation is indeed the worst! If you can stick to the liquid pre-op, I have no doubt you will be able to kill the post op. Once you start getting fills, you will go to town! :)

Kick butt, Preppy!! Ha!

Just for good measure, stock up on some things for after the surgery: Gas-X or Phillips Milk of Magnesia, Jello, Freezer Pops, Whipped Cream (Yummy by itself) Ensure or protein powder and milk. Clear soups and broth.

And: Put toilet paper in reach, even some extra for refills.

Have several small pillows for use over the port area when getting up and down from chairs and couch. Love the recliner if you have one.

Keep all medicines in a lower cabinet or shelf so you don't have to stretch for them for at least the first week.

Buy a body pillow if you don't have one for a really good nights sleep.

Put all your panty's and gowns in a top drawer so you don't have to bend down for a few days.

Baby yourself for a few days and don't try to be superwoman and strain or tear the stitches that hold the port in place. It will be sore for about a week until the stitches heal.

God Bless~So happy for you to be on the journey to THIN!:)
