I was banded on 12/30/2009 and have only lost 26lbs. I started excersizing, drink well over 64 oz. of water per day, and eat small amounts but can not loose weight. I have great restriction for 2 weeks after a fill, then I am able to eat like normal again. I am coming up on the 6 month mark and am really getting frustrated. I eat the same thing that I have eaten in the past when I lost weight, but i am actually gaining now. Is anyone else having these issues, and what can I do to start loosing weight again. I have the 10cc Aps band, and have 7.3cc currently.

I have been using lapband.com to log my food. Keeping between 1200 to 1400 cals keeps 1.5 to 2 lbs a week coming off so far. I am only 3.5 weeks into this and my first fill is tomorrow. Keeping the mindset that the band is only a tool is the key for me and the logging food is a tool also. Good luck. What I do know is I have to eat less than I ever did before as I age.

keeping track of your food is a great idea. I just started using myfitnesspal.com to keep track of every single thing I eat, and it has really refocused my diet plan. I would also talk to your doctor when you see him/her and be honest! The physician is our partner in this journey, and maybe he/she can help you get back on track, and losing again.

I wish you the best! Keep us posted!

well maybe your are also drinking to much fluid...Remember the foods you eat also have fluid in them.....Also try more healthier snacks...If your hungry after breakfast drink glass of water 1/2 hour after eating.....then 1/2 hour later eat a healthy snack.....such as fruits and vegetables...Maybe your calorie intake is to high...Maybe try 1000 calories per day......Also go on realizemysuccess.com....They have healthier low calorie snacks and meals......GOOD LUCK...!!

Try eating protein food items, about 400 calories per meal--tuna salad and crackers, soups and crackers, and try some 400 calorie meals from an earlier blog which lists the recipe book. I tried the meatloaf, was fantastic. I am at 38 #'s lost since 4 Jan- (20 week's) with an average of 1.85#s lost per week. I have only been working outside in the garden and not exercising. I work and have a shake in morn with vitamin, tuna and crackers or a bowl of chili beans for lunch, and I have tried chopped ham on bread this week--lost weight for me, plus at night I have sugarless popsicles, 2 to 4. This week I went from107 kg to 105.9 kg. Since we are off 4 days, I am starting to step up and walk tonight one hour-goal next week to be 103 or 104 kg. I have had three fills and holding for the fourth pending my results of my exercise routine for Jun, Jul and Aug. We are similar with weight loss, and I think I am doing well as planned, but welcome more. At one year I want to be down 100 #s. One thing you can try is eat 4 meals a day at 4 hour intervals. I figure I eat less that 1100 calories a day. I drink at least two bottles of water a day. After lunch which is 1030 to 1130, I concentrate on water for 3 to 4 hours. I eat dinner between 4:30 and 6. Your weight will fluctuate like mine, but will eventually go down, fat turns to muscle-maintaining some weight then the loss occurs. Keep the faith and stay strong, and when in doubt do like I do, go back to the basics, for two or three days, soups and veggies, mushies etc. Now I enjoy beef, chicken, fish 3 oz with veggies one or two. Last night I had some watermelon-tasty. Hang in there and I will see you at the end of our journey with a great weight loss. Good Luck
