The other day I took my pills and the one capsule must have turned sidewise and wedged in my band. I slimmed, gagged, & threw up for 5 hours felt better, ate a cheese stick and it started all over again! It was horrible and a 1st for me. After 7 hours of this feeling like throwing up and throwing up I called it a night and went to bed! Boy was I sore the next day. I had a protein shake and water that day. Definatley will cut that pill in 1/2 from now on!

Down a total of 28 lbs from the start. I put on a piar of my bigger pants and had to change because they looked like a parpchute! Guess it is time to give some more clothes away! Better yet buy some new clothes!!:rolleyes2:

as for meds..my doc told me to open the capsule and mix it with applesauce. I did that at first now I just get a mouthful of water and pour the capsule in my mouth (if that makes since). I haven't swollowed a capsule since I was banded. On all of the other meds I believe the rule of thumb was if it was bigger than an M&M cut it in half. I cut most of mine..it is best if you ask the pharmacist or your dr to make sure it is ok to cut them..sometimes it can take away the effect (if it is a time released pill).

WTG on the 28 lbs!!! Have fun shopping!

I have heard of people losing their band due to erosion or slippage from pills...now I chew mine with a flintstones vitamin (to hide the taste) or take liquid kids stuff...not worth the risk! But be sure its not an extended release or you are defeating that if you crush or open it...
