Well I had my 4th fill this past Thursday and my doctor gave me a 1/2 cc which puts me now at 6.5cc's....Could this finally be my sweet spot?? I couldn't hardly eat anything Saturday and Sunday and threw up a lot....but I'm hoping that it get's better. I would really like this to be my "sweet spot". I've never had that feeling of "fullness"..but rather just felt that my food was stuck in my throat and wouldn't go down...and more often than none I'd have to throw it back up. My weight loss has been slow so I'm really hoping that now I can progress a little faster. We shall see....I'm a few pounds away from being under 200....WOW...I haven't seen a 1 in front of the scales in a LONG time....and can't wait for that day. I'm not dreading trying on clothes as much as I used to.

I am almost three years post op and also at 6.5 cc's. I still throw up a lot, and get the "stuck in the throat" feeling. My scale has stopped going down because my metabolism is shot right now. I can't seem to eat soft foods at all, so I have turned to crackers and nacho chips just to get a full feeling, which usually doesn't take long. In one day I can eat a handful of crackers and a handful of chips and that is it, putting my body in survival mode and holding onto water and weight. I know I need to get the books back out and start with the pre-op diet, that will start to help.

Well I rec'd my lap band in 2006. I have had fills and unfills trying to find that sweet spot or fullness filling and still struggling til this day! I may be that person that may never experience either one... I had an unfill 12/31/09 because I started boot camp on 1/1/10 and was not eating enough for energy. I believe my body was in that survival mode too. I did well for about 4 weeks and then I kind of ate more and more unhealthy foods untill I gained 18 lbs. Decided to go for a fill on April 13, 2010 and now I am having a hard time eating again. Eating is now a challege for me. I have tried to eat oatmeal, yogurt, eggs, etc. but breakfast will not go down at all. I drink 2 cups of coffee from 5:30 am till 10:30 am. Most the time I have to eat lunch at the office and then it may not go down either or it may take me from about 1pm to 3pm to finish lunch. Dinner time is usually an easier meal but I eat late due to my son's baseball activities (next bootball, then basketball) and by that time I am so hungry and may not make the best choices. If dinner doesn't go well, forwhatever reason I can eat ice cream. Not a good habit to fall into at ALL! But seems to be a common thing with lap band patients. Then it is bedtime. I have lost 5 lbs but maybe could loose more if I could choose and limit my dinner meals and go back to boot camp. I AM starting on my new plan today. With the Lapband Talk and God's help I will succeed!! : ) Everyone's support is very much welcomed and appreciated and hopefully I can inspire others in my future!

Well you have inspired me with your DETERMINATION!! I knew that this wasn't going to be an easy road. What about weight loss really is? I find comfort in knowing that there are those like you who are willing to put it all out there in an effort to help the next lap-band patient. You sound like a busy parent just like me and I look forward to hearing about your journey on your new plan. I will definely be watching your blogs in the days, weeks, months to come!

Take care and God Bless!!
