Oh my lots of questions...

First off welcome :cursing:

We're a good bunch here, if you read a blog or comment you like or connect with anyone just send a request most of us are pretty friendly :sneaky:

My average weightloss is 8-10lbs per month, right where I should be (2-3lbs per week).

To be honest i haven't exercised like I should, I travel alot for work and spend more of my time in airports and cars. When I was exercising like I should I gained 15lbs of muscle and became UBER discouraged...then I regrouped and got back on track.. it's not the number it's the size and how I look, feel. I carry on an affair with the eliptical machine and anything that will get rid of back fat lol I also love the ab machine. When you sign up with a gym they'll usually give you atleast 1 free training session.. let the trainer know your goals, act like you're going to sign up and keep notes of what they tell you.. 3 sets of 12, how much weight to use, etc.. Your goal is TOTALLY possible. And yes there's lots of recipes on blended/pureed food in the blogs and forums and you can always inbox one of us as well.

I'll send you a request :cursing: welcome

Hi, I was banded 4 Jan 10. At first the weight loss is significant 5 to 10 #s the first week after surgery. Then for me it's averaged about 2 #s per week. I started at 270 and now weight 233. The only exercise I do is walking, gardening and an occasional stationary bike exercise for 30 to 45 min. I am an avid fisherman and fish in a float tube for 5 hours so that will be my exercise beginning the next few weeks. Let me say that my diet has been: breakfast a shake and vitamin, lunch-tuna and crackers. Then I drink a bottle of water prior to going home from work. And Dinner usually a meat-chicken, fish, or beef--finely chopped and about 3/4 cup with a side dish 1/2 cup vegetable-peas, peas and carrots, or mashed pots. I occassionally fix chicken noodle soup from a box and add peas to it. I also eat about 6 crackers with it for this meal. Whenever my weight stays the same, which it has for 3 to 5 days, I resort back to soups only. I have had 3 fills for a total of 6 cc in a 10 cc band. Just rem that when you exercise your fat turns to muscle so the weight is still there. Don't be disappointed but be positive, the weight loss will come back. I feel I am ok right now but will eventually go to the doc to get a 4th fill in Jun. I am doing this on my own, my own drive and it's working. I was on soups-tomato soup, chicken noodle soup two to three days after my surgery, then I went to mushies-mash potatoes, and peas, pork and beans, and I tried some baked fish. Two or three days later I was eating chicken, beef or fish 3/4 cup with a 1/2 cup veggie. I got hooked on pork and beans and mashed potatoes. You will sometimes wonder how far can you go before you reach your limit and be full, when eating. I tried this on purpose to see what happens, Well you know up it came. This only happed three or four times. I can say that once in a while you can still enjoy eating a BIG Mac, OR A wHALER- just eat it slowly and chew chew chew. I took out a piece of bread in the Big Mac and ate it slowly with an occasional sip of diet soda. Still lost weight too, so if you watch your calories, and eat slow you can still enjoy some delicious foods. Another breakfast item to eat is an egg and cheese. I usually fix a cheese omelet or have some oatmeal. Your goal weight is achievable as my goal weight is 170 but I want to go 5 more to 165 in one year. Good luck and enjoy your journey as I have. Lost weight, fitting into cloths that were in the closet two to three years and buying new clothes too. A rise in self-esteem is evident and an unbelievable increase in energy levels. I am truly satisfied and sure you will be too. Good luck. We can be friends if you like, please read my blogs, or you can email me: giby97@hotmail.com. Will be glad to answer your questions.
