I have to say that I am getting extremely frustrated and disappointed. It has been two weeks after my surgery and I have yet to lose a single pound. All the weight I lost was prior to the surgery on the pre-op liquid diet. I have done everything that the doctor has told me to do, feel like I barely eat anything, and the scale won't budge!! Anybody have any suggestions???

JUST STAY FOCUSED BRO...I HAD THE SAME ISSUE.DONT WORRY ABOUT LOSING THE WIEGHT..WORRY ABOUT THE EFFORT YOU NEED TO PUT IN..DO THAT,AND THE WIEGHT WILL FLY OFF YOU...JUST BY THE SMALL AMOUNTS YOUR ALREADY EATING YOU WILL LOSE WIEGHT..TRUST..BE SAFE..

I actually gained a few pounds in the last week since being banded. I think its from all the liquids they put in the IV. I also think that our bodies are in shock right now and don't really know what to do. I think the weight loss will start in a few weeks. Good luck.

The first month is really more about healing from the surgery than the weight loss. I am right there with you. @ weeks post and today I noticed I was sooo hungry!!

My doc said to make sure you get enough calories or your body will stave off starvation and hold on to weight. Make sure you are getting at least the min amount of calories for your weight to loose weight. I am 218. I will need min 1200 to loose and a balance of protein and carb.

Stay focused on your goals, and follow the post op eating plan. Give yourself some time to heal, and after you get your first fill, the weight will come off based on your effort. Dont give up yet.
