I had lapband back on February 17th. It was very quick and I had not seen the Nutritionist for over a year. Does anyone know the amount of protein you should have everyday? Also how often do you take your vitamins and what vitamins do you take? Thank you very much:crying:

Hi Kat,

My dietician wants me at 125g of protein a day. From talking with others that is on the high side...prolly becuase I have been a weight lifter for 6 years and we want to preserve as much muscle as we can under that fat. :confused:

Others usually say around 60 but I would check with your nutritionist. I take my vitamins everyday. the only thing is you cannot take your calcium with your multivitamin. The iron in the multi will mess with the absorption of the calcium with D. It needs to be at least a 2 hour difference.

I take a multi, super B complex, calcium, biotin(cuz my hair started falling out) and iron because I am borderline anemic(I was this before surgery too)

I take a multi vitamin, biotin, calcium, zink, & folic acid daily. Zink is for immunity and folic acid for depression. I am suppose to get 45g of protien daily. Hope this is helpful!
