Your not suppose to drink while eating, but wait untill 30 to 40 minutes after PER GUIDANCE. If you do like I do, I always have a glass of either milk or water and take a slow nice smooth sip--no problems. I don't drink alot just a few sips. 30 minutes later I do start drinking water one gulp at a time, making it a smooth soothing one. You will be ok.

Another thing you can do is fill your glass with ice (ice only) as it melts that is what you can drink. It is one way to break the habit. Once the ice melts you have an ice cold glass of water to drink about 45 minutes later..you do get sips as it is melting. I know it isn't easy, I used to have 3-4 glasses per meal..now I don't drink before and it is at least an hour afterwards before I even think about. If you drink with the meal it can cause the meal to become a slider which could result in you being hungry sooner...that is the reasoning.

You will be able to later on, because it is like the drano commercial, when you drink you will FLUSH the contents of what you have eaten out, and that is not nice, so I beg you to drink all you want up to about 10 min before you eat and then wait for the time to pass, not drinking also makes you feel full longer.
