Hello everyone looks like i am the newest member. Im hoping to get alot of helpful information and insight. I am 4 days post op things went great, i dont follow up with my doc until the 21st. Im kinda clueless and not sure how to describe how i feel.. wierd i guess it feels like when i drink its at my diaphram and then it kinda wiggles its way down. I did lose 8 pounds since 4-8-2010 im scared of losing it too quick and scared of acess skin. I am also emotionally struggling with wanting to eat of course i havent and cant but i really really want too. Is this at all normal (or am i doomed and it didnt work)... also why is my band not filled yet i know they want to wait till post op but im concerned things will get worse once the band it filled and tightened... Would love ur insight and thoughts .... thanks

I had my surgery in October (wow! 6 months, really??) From the sounds of things, you probably have some swelling inside.... once that goes down, you will find that things go down much easier. Immediately post-op, I lost quite a bit also, but that slowed WAY down after I healed. Then, it is a slow process to find just the right amount of fluid to put in your band. For me, this allowed me to get used to the changes a little bit at a time.

It is different for every person, but what you said sounds very normal to me. Just take your time, stick to the instructions your doc gave you for this healing period, and you will be fine.

    • I’ve used my Xbox for exercise games too and it can be pretty motivating, especially on days when I don’t want to leave the house. Kinect games really do make you move, and after a session with kickboxing or dancing, I always feel like I’ve actually gotten a solid workout. The controller-free setup feels way more natural for workouts than anything I tried on the Wii. Zumba is fun but definitely takes a little time to get the moves right. Lately, when I’m not working out, I spend time trading CS2 skins and finding new guides on this link. There’s a lot of interesting tips if you’re into games outside of fitness too.
    • I'm literally almost crying reading this. Mostly because I'mon this pre-op diet and these last two days have been difficult... but also because I needed this! Thank you! Congrats! And a BIG congrats on quitting smoking a second time! It was hard enough to do it once... So - when I say BIG congrats... I mean BIIIIIG congrats! ❤️

      Einarmige Banditen
