I met with Dr. Rehnke today for the last time before my surgery... I had lost 14.6 pounds in the last 12 days on my liquid diet... not a bad start. I am more excited than scared about tomorrow now... My surgery is late afternoon so i can sleep late and relax. I am putting it in God's hands now... where my life belongs.

Before surgery, there was a 2 week liquid diet...after surgery there is a 2 week clear liquid diet and for the next two weeks after that full liquids... So 6 weeks total... but i'm not even hungry almost a week after surgery and have to force the liquids to stay hydrated so it's not as hard as it sounds.

I'm sorry that i couldn't get back to you sooner, i just got home from the hospital yesterday. My surgeon also fixed a large hernia while installing my band...so i'm still pretty sore but dong alot better now... how are you feeling? I'm still on clear liquids for another week... so even though i'm really not hungry yet I'm looking forward to some cream soups and yogurt next week...LOL I never thought i'd say that.
