Since being denied for WLS by my insurance in early Feb. 2010, I have been in a major depression about my weight and desperate to do something about it. I scheduled a Lab Band surgery in Mexico for the end of this coming April. However, I am having a lot of mixed emotions because my husband and close friend are completly against me going out of the country for this surgery. And If I do go through with it I will be traveling alone with no support. I am so emotionally torn because I desperately want this surgery but I am very afraid of the risks of being out of the U.S. Can anyone please share your experience if you've been to Mexico for this procedure. I appreciate it very much.

Hi! My Doctor's office provides Tri-Care! You can Charge your surgery and make monthly payments on it. I am in Florida and doing very well. NO Complications! If you are interested you can e-mail me ~ just let me know. The payments are less and low interest too. They replace the extra food cost I was spending before and the meds too! No prescriptions since surgery. Follow my blog at www.thelazydayz.blogspot.com,

and read about the complications I had prior to surgery. I too was really depressed when BCBS would not pay for my surgery. I feel like I saved them knee replacements, etc etc!

I am scheduled for surgery in Mexico on 3/24 and I could not be more excited. I did so much research and decided on using Dr. Kuri.

I had a lot of the same problems you are encountering with my family and a few friends and that is exactly why I was very selective about who I shared this with. My husband was/is my biggest supporter in this. He will be with me during the whole journey.

My advice to you is do what you feel is the best thing for you. As long as you researched the doctor you've chosen and are comfortable with your decision, go for it. Also, the second most important thing to do is line-up your after care/fills, etc. with a doctor near your home. I had a lot of trouble finding a doctor to take care of me after the surgery but I found one.

please email me if you have any other questions....jdt36x@yahoo.com. Good luck to you!
